2025 FIM Women’s Trial Academy set for Ölbronn in Germany

The FIM Women’s Trial Academy (WTA) will take place this year on June 21-22 in Ölbronn, Germany. Providing young female riders with high-level training and essential skills development, the event is organized by Deutscher Motor Sport Bund e. V. in partnership with the School of Dirt and the FIM.

With tuition in both German and English, the WTA is open to riders who are 9-years-old and older, with all riding standards catered for and, with input from all National Federations, it is expected to be a truly international event.

2024 FIM Women’s Trial Academy

The main objective of the WTA is to nurture and support the next generation of women Trial riders by offering an exclusive opportunity to benefit from coaching and increased exposure through structured, high-level training sessions conducted by professional coaches. Emphasis will be placed on technical, physical and mental development with the international flavor helping to strengthen the global community of riders by fostering collaboration, inspiration and motivation.

As well as passing on essential riding skills to students, FIM Head Coach Iris Oelschlegel—the FIM Women’s Trial World Champion in 2007 and a three-time FIM Women’s European Trial Champion and six-time National champion whose achievements have earned her FIM Legend status—will also use the weekend to impart her teaching techniques and knowledge to five main coaches from the DMSB to aid with their development as trainers.

Thierry Michaud, Director of the FIM Trial Commission (CTR), said: “Diversity is incredibly important in motorsport and the FIM Women’s Trial Academy is just one example of how seriously the CTR takes it. With Iris leading the experienced and talented coaching team, I am confident our latest WTA members will greatly benefit from their knowledge and combined expertise.”
